Fun Facts:

Some foods that we would least expect are in the same family, this is especially important if you know or suspect you have a food sensitivity to any of the other family members:

Cashew family (Anacardiaceae): Mango, cashew, pistachio

Goosefoot family (Chenopodiaceae): Beet, sugar beet, spinach, swiss chard and quinoa

The (Hordeae) Grain family: Barley, kamut, rye, spelt, triticale, wheat

Mustard family  (Cruciferae): Horseradish, arugula, mustard, radish, turnip, cabbage, cress, kale, canola and Brussel sprouts

Parsley family (Umbelliferae): Anise, carrot, celery, dill, cumin, fennel, cilantro, celeriac, coriander, and parsley
